When you already have 476 BHP but you want more.. That was the case for the owner of this C63. At least until we applied our custom ECU Tuning.. Martin, the owner had previously taken this vehicle to another local tuner, and had a bad experience to say the least. After Martin had seen sparks flying from the starter motor due to shorting the electrical terminals, and been informed that an identical C63 had fallen off the dyno he made the decision to take the car away. The ECU fitted to this C63 is a Bosch MED17.7.5 and it’s not possible to tune via the diagnostic port. We needed to remove the ECU which was hidden in the engine bay, and access is from the underside. When the car was in the air we removed the under trays and some cooling pipes, and were able to slide the ECU out from it’s position. We noticed that there was a bracket missing and bolts had been only partially refitted. We carefully opened the ECU and applied our precision calibrated ECU Tuning file. For this process we used our Autotuner Master Tool. This was a £5250 investment in the latest technology unlikely to be seen at any other tuning centre in Yorkshire. We carefully refitted the ECU and the missing bracket and fixings, along with the cooling pipes. We bled the cooling system to avoid air locks which could cause engine overheating. We started the car, and the sound is certainly something special. The roads were a little wet and our road test was interesting for sure.. Martin was extremely pleased with the professional Tuning service and friendly attitude of the technicians. So much so that within 72 hours his colleague had his Audi in for our stage one tune.
