Our customer contacted us a few days before we tuned this lovely Audi SQ5 and arranged for a home visit. We arrived at 1.00 PM to find an immaculate example on the drive. After meeting the owner it turned out they’d only picked the car up four hours prior to our arrival. On this model a Bosch EDC17CP44 ECU was fitted and after connecting the vehicle to our battery stabiliser, we were able to do a virtual read of the data. On some late model VAG cars it’s not possible to read the data via the OBD port, but our advanced CMDFlash tool from Switzerland is able to retrieve the hardware and software numbers from the ECU. It then downloads a fresh copy of the exact data we need to modify, from CMD’s web server. Our experienced tuners are able to accurately calibrate the parameters for the optimum blend of performance and economy. After loading the tuned data we went on a long road test. The vehicle was fitted with S-Tronic transmission and the performance was smooth and very strong.
