Even the best of performance cars can be improved. When you’ve got in the region of 560 BHP, some people might think you’re being a little greedy wanting a bit more. When we got the email from Mark, the owner of this magnificent RS6 we were delighted to assist. This car has the CWUB engine which is fitted with a Bosch MED17.1.1 ECU. We were able to make a back up of the Engine control unit’s data by the virtual read method using a Genuine CMD Flash tuning tool. We reprogrammed the new software upgrade through the OBD port (on board diagnostic). We carried out the process in around two hours without the need to remove the ECU. An exciting test drive followed, and a subsequent referral came through from one of Mark’s friends soon after.
