Today we did a little work on this lovely Passat Estate fitted with VW’s 1.6 TDi engine. The vehicle had the diesel gate EA189 emissions scandal “fix” at the dealership. Since then the owner has noticed that the car feels sluggish, has lost some economy and seems to be running worse. To rectify this we have performed a software roll back and the ever popular blend remap. With this particular engine Volkswagen also fit a restrictor in the air intake which we also remove. On first impressions the customer was absolutely delighted with the results, he is going on a family holiday to Scotland in the car and will report back after his trip.
